Company Profile and History

Superior Metal Products LLC has served the needs of the custom window and door market since January 1978, when the company was formed as Superior Metal Products Company. Superior has combined manufacturing and reselling/distribution into a single-source point of purchase benefit for the custom fenestration product dealer and contractor.

Purchasing and manufacturing functions are centralized in Superior’s 107,000 square foot facility in Birmingham, Alabama. Material, in both lineal form and finished form, are shipped from Birmingham direct to customers in thousands of communities across the United States.

Superior has developed its product line offerings from the original storm window, door and screen products to include single glazed and insulated residential aluminum and vinyl replacement windows, carports, patio covers, walkway covers, insulated roofs and enclosures, screen enclosures, storm doors, screen doors, sunrooms, insulated glass, and store front panels. The company operates three manufacturing divisions that include a window division, laminating division and metal/rollforming division.

Superior has developed each new product, product line, and department in accordance with its single-source philosophy of providing material, tooling, training and customer service to cultivate a long-term viable customer base.
